The Lord is so good! He continuously sustains me throughout this 3 years of my life. The Lord continues to provide, thanks to You sponsors, I am now currently on my 3rd Year here at FEBIAS COLLEGE OF BIBLE! For 3 years for 3 years in the seminary, I have learned many things, that I can be able to apply in my Ministry. As well as I can say that I am now more maturing spiritually. Praise be the Lord!

My school/ministry highlights this 1st semester are.:

1. VISION WEEK (Sept. 21-28) held at FEBIAS COLLEGE of BIBLE (Where I was the one who edited the school’s promotion vid)

2. SHORT TERM MISSIONARY TRIP (Oct. 9-12). Held at Tarlac, Viga Christian and Mission Church. Where I preached and trained workers in INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDY.

3. MEDICAL MISSION (March) where I volunteered in our church in Cabiao as an usher for the people who are in need of help! Praise the Lord because... (continued on pg. 2)

Through this activities, we are able to reach more souls for Christ.

These 3 contributed to my growth as a minister of the Lord. Praise the Lord because He continues to stir up the gifts that He has given to me. As I continue to use these gifts for His Glory! Continue to support me with your prayers, as I develop and mature deeper in my faith in Christ. God bless you more!

Please continue to pray for the Bulacan Team.. The Cabiao team was not allowed to facilitate the said DVBS.. so it is a new challenge for the team, because of the limited number of volunteers. Kong Ferds (my co-director) and I are expecting 100+ children who will attend the said School.

Monday.. after our first day conducting D VBS in San Felipe.. Hannah and I just had our dinner and were already resting when my Dad suprised us.. that We are going to Araneta Center Cubao.. We were curious why Papa suddenly told us that we are going there.. He explained that Ahma (Lola) sponsored our trip and that we are going to attend a gathering of Filipino Christians, as well as Politicians for prayer as well as celebrating the 60th independence of Israel.. this activity is called "Bless Israel.." so, we left at around 4:00pm in the afternoon.. excited of what will happen.. Papa buying our favourite "Chichacorn" and Drinks..

When We arrived there, it was a shock for us.. because we did not expect that there are so many people who attended that event... almost all of the seats were taken!

I was blessed personally because, I saw most of the Christian Leaders like Bro. Eddie there to speak before the people.. Also I was proud because some of the Alumnis of Febias was also there.. like Bishop Ephraim Tendero.. but even more I was seeing the gathering of Christians, also inspired by sermons given by prominent Christian Leaders..

in the end.. The Guest Speakers (including the granddaughter of the latePres. Quezon). prayed for Israel..

This week May 5-9, 2008 The DVBS team together with CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) volunteers conducted a 5 day camp/club at San Felipe, San Fernando Pampanga. where almost 150 students enrolled. praise God! because I handled not only 1 but two classes (5th 6th graders and also the Youth). where for me it seems impossible, but with God's grace. I was able to teach and evangelize them.. Today.. Friday will be the Graduation of the said activity... where my father Bishop Sun.. will be the guest speaker..

another Harvest of Souls.. another opportunity to raise up leaders for His Kingdom!

I and Kuya Ferds (Co-Director) will be leading

a 10 man, Cabiao DVBS team... that will conduct "Trading Places' DVBS at Calumpit Bulacan..

They are mostly composed of Young People.. who are willing to spend their time. money and patience for the effort of the advancement of God's Kingdom...

Praise God! for a very successful ministry in the past 3 weeks, SOULS WON! SOULS DISCIPLED! SOULS EQUIPPED! I can say that every day, My pastoral life is improving.. I also had my ministry evaluation and as I evaluate, my 1st year stay here in Cabiao.. I can see a big improvement in my confidence, character and spiritual life!

Accident sa TAPING! but still ALIVE!

Last Tuesday, I had an accident... when we were taping for the BBC interview vid, I climbed the tree, and because of my carelessness, and siguro fatigue na rin.. I slipped.. and the rest was history... But I still thank God, because there was no injury at all. only pain after the fall... kasi My groin got hit sa may branch, good thing it was not that sharp kaya no wound at all...

After the fall, I felt peace in my heart, thanking God because he had protected me from severe injury..

minutes after.. Interview again! =) no accident can stop Zion.. hehe!

Praise God, even though I and the Cabiao Youth, haven't had that much rest.. yet the Lord still sustained us.. after our successful VBS Graduation here at Cabiao, we rushed to San Juan San Fernando Pampanga, for our next VBS... Praise God.. even though their number is half of the population of the Cabiao VBS delegates, still The Lord moved in their lives. I also am moved because of the way these children behave.. =) also Praise God because I was able to direct, even though I also am a teacher..

Monday, March 10, 2008 “Campus Day” the Start of the 3 day “Bible and Missions” Conference held at Febias College of Bible. Where the 5 batches (BBC to Seniors), were assigned to clean different places at the Febias Campus.. =) My Batch, Particularly batch Aletheia, was assigned to clean the front of the Vision chapel up to the Premises of the OLD SHARON HALL (Old Ladies Dorm). It was very fun indeed to be with my batchmates as we clean our school. Through this experience also, I had an opportunity to know more about some of my batchmates. Example would be is KUYA Jessie, our eldest batch mate. Kuya Jess was interviewed once at 700 Club, and was featured last year in the Head line of the news paper INQUIRER, entitled “DATING DRUG ADDICT TURNS HIGH ON GOD.” Yes.. Kuya Jess is once a drug addict, and not only that he is included in the feared HALIK NI HUDAS GANG, where now this group became a living testimony of how great the power of God is. As I talk with kuya Jess, I can see the change in His life, the scars of His old life is still there, but His heart is full of peace and joy.. Kuya Jess, continues to bless not only me, but also the whole FEBIAS FAMILY as well..

Tiring, Gruesome, Blessed

TIRING, GRUESOME, BLESSED..

TIRING.. because I had to leave early after CIY’s church service despite of the planned activities for the afternoon like fellowship with the San Vicente yp. I had to leave because of Febias’ Baccalaureate Service, this is the start of Febias’ Year end celebration. I left the church at around 1pm, while at the bus, I didn’t have the opportunity to sleep, because I was really nervous at that time of being late. Well it did came true. The bus arrived at Caloocan (MCU) at around 3:10 in the afternoon, the fact that the service will start at 3:30pm made me more nervous, After the bus had a stop, I had to run fast to get the next route to Valenzuela (which estimates a 30 minute Bus ride from Caloocan + a jeepney ride to Karuhatan) to make the story short.. I arrived at around 3:40+ at Febias, exhausted. And when I was about to enter the campus. My bag was open! The trusted zeeper broke. And this caused me to lose my most loved, precious Bible.. It was gruesome for me because, this Bible was given to me by my father, He bought this for my mom, before their wedding, so this Bible is very important not only for me but my Dad as well.. Maybe the book fell at the bus.. Good thing my laptop, was safe.. But I was really frustrated, when I found out what happened. My batchmates noticed me, and found out what happened, I thank the Lord for their encourag ement, one friend told me “ayaw mo nun, pag napulot, edi babasahin niya…” I thought about that also.. and was reminded of the verse “All things work together for good..” encouraged me, the fact that it was also the message brought by the Speaker that afternoon. After the service, I approached Paps Tim, the dorm monitor, and He told me that I had an hourwork (discipline) because I am not in my school uniform, and also due to my tardiness. still I am reminded by the verse “All things work together for good..” I went to the dorm, and I also found out that my Document Papers for my Study Profile got Lost! It was a 7 page question for my Dev Psych finals, and I was unable to find it! instead of giving up, The Lord gave me wisdom, and asked my room mate Kuya Oscar to be my substitute Study Profile, I thank God because He agreed, and I interviewed him, after 2 hours, I am able to finish the soft copy and after that went to Malinta to have it printed. It was around 9pm when I arrived back to Febias. Exhausted.. But still the verse Rom 8:28 flashed in my mind.

Despite all the Discouragements, tiring activity and lost. Still I reflected and on that day, and I realized that I was soo blessed. Despite of my tardiness. Still I arrived at Febias safe and sound, Despite of my Bible being lost, still I know that the person who will pick it, will be ministered to by the Holy Spirit. And this will be a way for the Gospel to penetrate in his life. Despite of being tired, I was able to finish my requirement in DEV PSYCH. Despite of My Hour work, still I have peace in my heart, with the verse flashing in my mind “ALL THINGS work together for good.”.

I learned that the ministry, is not that easy, sometimes you have to sacrifice, to exert more effort, and strength. Tiring, but by the grace of God, I can!

I learned to be more responsible in being a leader. Struggling with delegation due to my inferiority complex. But by God’s Grace and Mercy, slowly but surely I’m continuing to mature in that part..

Finals Weeks Update!

FINALS WEEK UPDATE

Monday…

My view in Eschatology is Pre-Trib or Pre-Tribulation, where this view tends to explain Rapture occurring and after that Tribulation.. But this Monday morning.. I seem to have believed the Post-Tribulation view, where it states that We, Christians are now living in Tribulation. Hahaha.. because of Our Intro to Philosophy Exam (Prof. is Ptr. Jay Banzuelo) .. many consider this to be a challenge, because Ptr. Banzuelo, instructed us to review from the beginning what we discussed. The fact that we have 8+ handouts to review.. but then, with the help of prayer, and understanding of the topic, I managed to do my best and pass the exam.. I praise the Lord for giving me wisdom and understanding to accomplish his challenge for me today. Btw.. Ptr. Tony our Dorm Supervisor, left for Samar, due to his father’s death…

Whew! Almost there.. Good thing, Pastoral Majors only have 1 written exam this semester’s final exam.. but we do have lots of requirements.. example would be our Church Administration Subject “Church Profile” where we were instructed by Dean Espino, to write our Ministry plans for our respective local churches. This is a very long, but a very interesting requirement, because not only we had our personal ministry planning for our churches, but we had our own church budget also, this is an opportunity for me to develop my administrative skills, as well as to develop my planning skills. Praise God! I manage to pass it on time, satisfied, assured with my personal work. Also I had an opportunity with the Rizal class esp. Kuya Michael Salazar’s (OSI President) group with their documentary, I volunteered to be their editor.. in their Documentary project entitled “RIZALista”.. This is a very interesting subject, about the followers of Rizal, this group who are members of the Sect “Iglesia Watawat ng Lahi” claim that Rizal (The Country’s Hero) was the 3^rd person of the Trinity.. I learned a lot of things from this Documentary as well as challenged, challenged to share God’s word to these kind of people.

I Pet. 4:13 Reflection

“But be happy, that you are sharing in Christ’s sufferings so that you will be happy and full of joy when Christ comes again in glory.”

I Pet. 4:13

This passage speaks of delighting in despite of troubles, sufferings.. the immediate context speaks of an encouragement to the believers
scattered abroad. Due to rising persecution..

What an encouragement! Peter also implies to us who are experiencing also troubles, discouragements in our life, even though we are not persecuted physically, we still need to be joyful, even though we are facing challenges in our life. I remember facing this huge pile of requirements this year, a large number of discouragements, and a handful of failures. But still with this verse in mind I am encouraged to smile, and to face my difficulties positively.

My Experiences at Febias! (Freshmen Year)

Praise the Lord! My requirements are almost DONE, this will be the 3^rd to the last week of my Freshmen year here at Febias, so far this year, I can say is a very challenging one. I learned many things, as well as gained new insights on how to handle pressures as well as “challenges” that are somewhat beneficial to me. One challenge is being the president of our Batch, Batch Aletheia, this is a very challenging one because it is really my first
time to be a leader,

or president of a group, and the fact that I have trouble socializing affects my leadership. But then through this experience, I learned, that I need to put extra effort in communicating with my batch mates as well as learn how to cope with them. The Lord proved to be faithful, He sustained me this year, and is continually sustaining me as I grow in faith, love and knowledge in Him. One memorable challenge also that I had this school year, was me being transferred to CIY Cabiao, where it is also my first time to leave my Home Church which is in San Fernando, and also to be their Youth Pastor, I didn’t know anything about handling youth, that is why currently I am still struggling personally, and socially with them. At first they were really shy, when I would approach them, but after many days of approaching them, they finally get ease with me, surely in my ministry in Cabiao, the Lord has taught me things, that I would not have learned, when I am in San Fernando. I praise the Lord for what He has done, and still what He is doing in my life. I am expecting more challenges as well as opportunities for me to trained for future ministry.

Transform concert a Success! My 1st blog!

Praise God! The Lord moved in the recent evangelistic concert held at San Vicente Cabiao, 400+ people got saved! CIY Cabiao and CIY San Fernando unites... for this event! The guest speaker is the senior pastor of CIY Pastor Albin Lapuz, also with the guest singer Ms. April DeloSantos (Pinoy Pop Superstar Celebrity) and with volunteer workers who are present in the said event including my dad, Bishop Hong Sun. I was assigned as the Multimedia Coordinator, (incharge of the Overhead Projector as well as the Camera man) it was really a great evening!

But before that event the church experienced series of Satan's attacks with discouragements and conflicts, Satan is doing his best to destabilize the ministry of CIY Cabiao, but the Lord prevailed. By the grace of God, We have matured and gained new strength from that experience. Now a new opportunity awaits.. It is now a challenge for me as a pastor to consolidate (follow-up) the people who got saved that evening. and Praise God because Ciy Cabiao is planning to open again it's ministry in that area, (due to the opening of CIY Cabiao, San Vicente's ministry stopped.). This is a victorious event indeed! This is another step for God in expanding His kingdom.. and as well as harvesting souls for Him!
